Action Comics #1 Mural Ribbon Cutting During Superman Celebration

Join us for the ribbon-cutting for the Superman Action Comics #1 Mural Metropolis Illinois during the 46th Annual Superman Celebration!
Artist Morgan Siebert, with the help of her husband Adam Siebert, recently painted a new mural depicting Superman's first appearance from the iconic cover of Action Comics #1 created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Morgan’s goal was to restore a cherished piece of Metropolis Illinois local heritage. The original mural was commissioned by Super Museum founder, Jim Hambrick, was lost in 2002 to storm damage. Her recreation not only pays tribute to her father's passion for Superman but also revives a historic landmark for the community, celebrating the enduring legacy of the Man of Steel and Metropolis' unique connection to the iconic superhero.
The new mural is located on the side of the Super Museum next to the Metro Tent.
