 Visit the World's Largest Superman statue in Metropolis, IL "Home of Superman".  15 foot tall, one of a kind photo op known world wide as the "World's Largest Superman Statue".  Sculpted by artist Gary Smith.  The statue was unveiled June 5th 1993 and has proudly stood watch over Superman Square for 30+ years.  You don't want to miss this photo op!

This Glowing Green Kryptonite Rock is the largest specimen of it's kind known to exist!  It fell to earth shortly after the Planet Krypton exploded into a million, billion fragments.  It Landed on the Cannamore Family Farm.  After landing Scientist rendered it powerless and totally harmless to even Superman.  The Cannamore family brought the green rock to Metropolis and placed it here to represent friendship and good luck to all who touch it.  

And so, we the citizens of Metropolis, Illinois "Home of Superman", bid fair welcome to all planet earth and beyond.

Statue of Noel Neill as Lois Lane

The statue acknowledges Noel's contributions to the Superman  Celebration as the "First Lady of Metropolis" and her portrayal of Lois  Lane in the Serials and the TV series of the 1950s, "The Adventures of  Superman" with an honorable and permanent gesture of love from the  citizens of Metropolis and from her countless fans around the world.

 The  Metropolis Daily Planet Globe sculpture, positioned proudly in front of  the Noel Neil Lois Lane statue, stands as a testament to the dedication  of Super Museum founder Jim Hambrick. This brilliant creation, a  collaborative effort involving volunteers Floyd McIntosh, Clyde Wills,  and Shawnee Community College, reflects Hambrick's tireless endeavors to  infuse Metropolis with Superman's presence. Originating from the  Metropolis Planet newspaper office, this sculpture has been a cherished  fixture for 26 years, symbolizing the enduring commitment to honoring  the Man of Steel in the heart of Metropolis, Illinois.
